Victorian dining room

Dining Room - used for Judge’s Dinners, Militia Dinners and other official functions. Dining rooms such as this were intended to convey masculine grandeur and were often red. Lit only by beeswax candles, since gas and oil lamps were believed to taint food. Huge portraits of Radnorshire dignitaries look down on you as you explore the multitude of glasses and silverware it took to present even a simple meal in such a grand house.
