after her coronation in 1837? Have a parliamentary meeting? Have tea with all the royal dignitaries? No – she gave her dog, Dash, a bath.

Gaby Rivers, Curator of the Judge’s Lodging for nearly thirty years, will share some of the town’s treasures as well as the stories these treasures reveal about daily life in Presteigne, the town’s past and its place in the world. This will be an intimate meeting with the objects themselves; you will be able to examine them in detail – gloves provided!
This event will be held at the Assembly Rooms, Broad Street, Presteigne (about 100 yards up the road from the museum) at 3.30pm and will raise funds for the upkeep of that historic community building.
